The Low End Theory, from 1991, is the record where A Tribe Called Quest tied hip-hop to jazz for good. Ron Carter plays upright bass on "Verses from the Abstract," and the album runs through "Buggin' Out," "Check the Rhime," "Jazz (We've Got)" and the closing "Scenario" with Leaders of the New School. This RSD Essentials pressing is a double LP on storm black swirl vinyl.

RSD Essentials is Record Store Day's year-round reissue series, pressed only for independent record stores.
