Nicholas Tripi - Loud World (LP)

Loud World* is the debut solo album from Nicholas Tripi, multi-instrumentalist and drummer of Big Fun. Blending space lounge, jungle jazz, psychedelic funk, library music, and krautrock, the album features ten groove-driven tracks that explore rhythm as the foundation of every composition.

Inspired by classic KPM and Gemelli library music, as well as artists such as Piero Umiliani, Alan Hawkshaw, NEU!, and Kraftwerk, Tripi creates a vibrant mix of hypnotic basslines, shimmering synthesizers, playful guitar melodies, and intricate percussion.

Side A features “Blue X,” “Turbo Lounge,” “Globe X,” “Near Mellow,” and “Glissence,” delivering upbeat, funk-infused rhythms and retro cinematic textures. Side B takes a more experimental turn with “Ghost In A Cave (Part 1)” and “Ghost In A Cave (Part 2),” followed by the percussion-focused “Ringing The Bells,” “Plomp,” and “Klonk.”

Spanning approximately 42 minutes, *Loud World* is a colorful, imaginative journey through jazz-funk, electronic experimentation, and vintage soundtrack influences.
