Shipping Policy

At Resident Vinyl, we take pride in shipping your records and merch safely and efficiently. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our shipping process, delivery options, and policies.


1. Processing & Handling Time

Orders are typically processed and fulfilled within 1–3 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding holidays). Please note that certain items—such as merchandise, bulk orders, or limited titles—may ship directly from our suppliers and can require additional processing time.

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email with tracking information.


2. Domestic Shipping (U.S.)

We currently ship nationwide using USPS and UPS.
Available service levels include:

  • USPS Media Mail – economical option for vinyl records

  • USPS Ground Advantage

  • USPS Priority Mail

  • UPS Ground

  • UPS Next Day Air

Delivery times vary based on destination and selected service, typically 2–7 business days after fulfillment.

Free shipping: Orders of $60 or more (before tax) ship free within the U.S. using the most cost-effective service available.


3. International Shipping

We ship worldwide using:

  • UPS Worldwide Express / Express Saver

  • USPS First Class International

  • USPS Priority Mail International

International transit times vary by country and carrier, generally 7–21 business days.
Customers are responsible for all customs duties, import taxes, and brokerage fees. These charges are not included in our prices or shipping rates and are non-refundable.


4. Shipping from Suppliers

Some items (including select merch, limited editions, and bulk quantities) may ship directly from our suppliers or distributors. These orders may arrive separately from the rest of your purchase, and shipping times can vary depending on the supplier’s location and availability.


5. Order Tracking

All orders include a tracking number once shipped. Tracking may take up to 24 hours to update after the label is created.


6. Signature & Delivery Confirmation

For high-value orders, we may require signature confirmation upon delivery or automatically upgrade shipping to a faster or more secure method at our discretion.

7. Insurance, Lost, or Misdelivered Packages

Once a package is scanned as “Delivered” by the carrier, Resident Vinyl is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misdelivered shipments.

Please note:

  • USPS Media Mail and Ground Advantage shipments do not include insurance.

  • USPS Priority Mail and UPS Ground include up to $100 of coverage, but claims must be filed directly with the carrier.

  • If you would like additional insurance or signature confirmation, please contact info@residentvinyl.com before your order ships.

We recommend shipping to a secure address and choosing a trackable or insured service for high-value items.


8. Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping addresses at checkout. Orders returned due to incorrect or incomplete addresses may be subject to additional reshipping charges.


9. Pre-Orders and Backorders

If your order includes a pre-order item, it will ship once that item becomes available unless otherwise noted. For orders with multiple items, Resident Vinyl may ship in separate packages to prevent delays.
