Gal is the second of Gal Costa's two 1969 albums, made after her Tropicália partners Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil had been forced into exile. It pushes the Tropicália sound into fuzz guitar, feedback and raw psychedelic rock on "Cinema Olympia," "Tuareg" and "Meu Nome É Gal," with Costa's voice cutting through the noise. This LP is an import reissue on Ipanema Sun.
