Queens of the Stone Age recorded Alive in the Catacombs in July 2024 deep in the Paris catacombs: Joshua Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore with a three-piece string section, using chains and chopsticks for percussion. Every song is one complete live take, with no overdubs or edits.

After the deluxe vinyl sold out in under a day, Matador is pressing this standard edition for shops. It's a single-pocket jacket with a printed inner sleeve of behind-the-scenes photos by Andreas Neumann.
